Penguins' Patric Hornqvist: Makes good on man advantage

Hornqvist, who totaled nine power-play goals in 2015-16, netted his first marker on the man advantage Thursday.

Analysis:

It took him 34 games before he scored his first power-play goal last season, so he's off to a good start. Skating right wing on a line centered by Matt Cullen with Conor Sheary, Hornqvist registered the fifth least amount of ice time (13:28) among Pittsburgh's 12 forwards. Unless the Pens put Hornqvist with Evgeni Malkin, the Swede will have to rely on his standing as a first unit power-play man to collect points -- at least until Sidney Crosby (concussion) returns.
