Penguins' Mike Condon: Claimed off waivers

Condon was claimed off the waiver wire by the Penguins on Tuesday.

Analysis:

Condon will serve as the backup to Marc-Andre Fleury until Matt Murray (thumb) is able to return, at which point he could very well find himself back on the waiver wire. Last season, Condon made the majority of the starts for Montreal, posting a 21-25-6 record with a .903 save percentage. Fantasy owners may want to look elsewhere for a backup netminder, considering the 26-year-old is likely to see infrequent minutes and is almost a lock to be replaced when Murray is healthy.
