Hurricanes' Eddie Lack: Tending twine Wednesday

Lack will start in the crease Wednesday against the Sabres.

Analysis:

Although Lack is considered a candidate to take over the goaltending role for the Hurricanes in 2016-17, there's been no mention of that recently. Meanwhile, both he and Cam Ward have played impressively in preseason action. It wouldn't be surprising if the two split the workload again this season, but Lack will guard the cage Wednesday.
