Senators' Mark Stone: Skates with team at practice Friday

Stone (concussion) practiced with the Sens on Friday and hopes to play in Tuesday's preseason contest against Toronto, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen reports.

Analysis:

Stone being able to practice has him trending in the right direction, but the winger still needs to pass a baseline test before returning to the ice for the Senators. The 24-year-old had his season cut short by an upper-body injury in 2015-16, but seems to be progressing well after taking a licking from Buddy Robinson. Once he's back, the winger steps in right next to Kyle Turris and Mike Hoffman, which could make for a lethal top line for Ottawa. Stone should have no issues reaching 60-plus points for a third straight season.
