Penguins' Marc-Andre Fleury: Avoids serious injury Tuesday
Fleury, who allowed three goals on 19 shots Tuesday against Red Wings, was cut lightly across his throat by a Detroit player's skate, but remained in the game, DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.
Analysis:
Forward Matthew Lorito crashed the Pittsburgh net, grazing Fleury with his skates in the air. "The guy drove to the net and fell down," Fleury said. "I felt a little something. I was lucky it wasn't too serious." With Matt Murray sidelined for the opener, the Pens need to keep the veteran healthy.
