Blackhawks' Scott Darling: Will start in Wednesday's preseason game

Darling will start in goal and play the entirety of Wednesday's preseason matchup with Pittsburgh, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Corey Crawford is still in Toronto competing in the World Cup of Hockey as a member of Team Canada, so Darling will have an opportunity to get the bulk of work in net while Crawford is away. The 27-year-old netminder compiled a 12-8-4 record with a 2.60 GAA and .915 save percentage over 29 appearances as Crawford's backup last season.
