Capitals' Nate Schmidt: Suffers lower-body injury Sunday

Analysis:
Schmidt got tangled up with fellow defenseman Garrett Mitchell during a drill session and limped off the ice. Acting head coach Todd Reierden, who is filling in for Barry Trotz during the World Cup, indicated the injury is not a major concern.
