Capitals' Karl Alzner: On the ice for start of training camp

Alzner (pelvis) was on the ice Friday for the start of training camp, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

The 27-year-old defenseman appears to be on track in his recovery from offseason surgery to repair a sports hernia sustained during the 2015-16 playoffs. If all goes well, he should be ready to start the season, but his career high of 21 points limits his fantasy value in most leagues.
