Ducks' Rickard Rakell: Undergoing tests for stomach virus

Rakell (illness) is undergoing tests for a stomach virus and will miss the World Cup it was announced Monday.

Analysis:

Rakell, who has been hospitalized as they await test results, will be replaced on Team Sweden by Patrik Berglund. It is unclear what, if any, impact this will have on his availability for the start of the upcoming season. Even if he has a slow start to the year, the 23-year-old should still be able to repeat 2015-16 form in which he tallied 20 goals and 23 helpers.
