Blue Jackets' Sam Gagner: Inks one-year deal with Blue Jackets

Gagner agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Columbus on Monday.

Analysis:

Gagner had the worst season of his career with the Flyers in 2015-16 in which he tallied paltry eight goals and eight assists. Additionally, the 26-year-old was hampered by injuries the entire year and played in just 53 contests. If he can return to the form that saw him notch 40+ points in six of his previous eight season, the Blue Jackets will look back on this deal as the steal of the offseason, a risk fantasy owners may also want to consider.
