Senators' Mike Hoffman: Signs four-year deal with Ottawa

Hoffman avoided arbitration Wednesday by agreeing to terms on a four-year contract with the Senators worth $20.75 million.

Analysis:

Hoffman was third on the team in points last year (59), with 13 of those coming on the power-play. The winger averaged more than 17 minutes of ice time per game, including 2:27 with the man advantage, and has cleared 45 points in each of his two full seasons in the NHL. He's now set to be one of the main drivers behind the Ottawa offense for the next several seasons.
