Predators' P.K. Subban: P.K. Subban: Acquired by Predators

The Canadiens traded Subban (neck) to Nashville for Shea Weber in a swap of defensemen Wednesday, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.

Analysis:

Subban missed the last 14 games with the Habs, but should be healthy and ready for his move across the border. This trade seems like a win for the Predators as they get slightly younger on the blue line as well getting out from under the 14-year, $110 million contract they gave Weber back in 2012. Despite playing in just 68 contests, the 27-year-old Subban racked up an astonishing 45 helpers along with six goals. Fantasy owners should have zero doubts about picking up the Toronto native, who almost assuredly will be on the top power-play unit for his new team.
