Ducks' Hampus Lindholm: Receives qualifying offer from Ducks
Lindholm was extended a qualifying offer from the Ducks on Monday, Dhiren Mahiban of the New York Times reports.
Analysis:
Lindholm participated in all but two games for the Ducks this past season, posting a career-high of 10 goals, to go along with 18 assists and 68 hits. The 22-year-old defenseman has shown enough improvement and potential that the Ducks want to keep him around, and the qualifying offer means they'll be able to match any offer he receives once free agency opens. It appears Lindholm will likely end up being retained by the Ducks barring any surprises.
