Ducks select Sam Steel 30th overall

With their second pick of the first round, the Anaheim Ducks selected center Sam Steel 30th overall.

The Edmonton native was the 30th-ranked North American skater, according to Central Scouting.

Though he's been set back by injuries, Steel is a strong skater with a keen ability to drive to the net.

Anaheim drafted Max Jones from the London Knights with the 24th pick, as the Ducks continue to stockpile reliable forwards for the future.
