Jets sign Nelson Nogier to entry-level contract

The Winnipeg Jets have signed defenseman Nelson Nogier to a three-year, two-way NHL entry-level contract worth an average annual value of $771,700.
Selected in the fourth-round of the 2014 NHL Draft, Nogier, 20, recently appeared in the Memorial Cup as a member of the WHL's Red Deer Rebels.
In 235 games at the junior level, Nogier - known more as a stay-at-home defenseman - recorded eight goals, 42 assists, and 196 penalty minutes.
