The second-highest-rated Swede enters the draft as a reliable bet on both sides of the puck.
The 18-year-old finished 10th in rookie scoring in the SHL with 16 points, while proving he has the makeup of a legitimate power forward by finishing third among first-year players with 75 hits.
Grundstrom can be a pest when using his size and strength, and has a solid shot which he's shown in numerous international competitions. As per Draft Analyst.com, "his skill set may resemble that of a grinder, but he’s displayed flash and skill in the limited time he received with MoDo."
Grundstrom was the sixth-rated European skater in this year's draft, one spot ahead of the Maple Leafs' early second-round pick, Yegor Korshkov.
