Ducks' Brandon Pirri: Set to become restricted free agent this summer

Pirri finished the 2015-16 season with 14 goals, 15 assists, 30 PIM and a minus-4 rating in 61 games played this season.

Analysis:

Pirri was acquired by the Ducks from the Panthers on February 29, and the 25-year-old center suited up in nine games for Anaheim. In those nine games, he averaged almost 13 minutes a night and tallied three goals and two assists. Pirri was on a two-year contract when he came down to Southern California and will be a restricted free agent once free agency hits this summer. He suffered an upper body injury during his stint with the Ducks, so he wasn't able to exactly show everyone what his true worth is. With the Ducks having a surplus of centers, it is likely that Pirri won't be back in a Ducks uniform this fall.
