Zibanejad will aim to improve his summer conditioning in an effort to come into next season in top form, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen reports.

Analysis:

"I've done a poor job in terms of the way I train," Zibanejad said. The soon-to-be 23-year-old had a decent start to the season, picking up 21 points in 34 contests in what was expected to be his breakout year. The 2011 first-round pick still ended up setting career highs in goals and assists with 21 and 30, respectively, as well as 184 shots on goal, seven game winners and 17:44 of ice time. Although it wasn't a monster campaign, the Swede has been vocal in his effort to improve in the offseason and acknowledges his inconsistencies. If he sticks to his word, he should be in for an uptick in production next season.
