Austin Blythe Bio
Position: C
School: Iowa
College Experience: Senior
Height: 6-2
Weight: 298 lbs.
Strengths
- Durable. Four-year starter who played in over 96 percent of snaps through the past three seasons. Played both center and guard.
- Plays with good knee bend to hold up to bull rushes, slides well laterally, and carries dynamite in his hands to pop defenders. (CBS Sports)
- Quick, accurate snapper. Praised for his center-quarterback exchange in the shotgun and under center.
Weaknesses
- Undersized. Short arms and less than ideal strength will keep him from playing anywhere but center.
- Does a better job of getting in the way than he does moving defenders out of the way.
- Stiff. Struggles to move laterally and redirect. Best used as a straight-line blocker.
