Stephen Tulloch's days in Detroit are numbered.

The Lions are trying to trade the veteran linebacker and plan to cut him if they cannot find a partner, reports Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press according to a source.

Lions general manager Bob Quinn called the matter "a contractual issue" on Tuesday.

Tulloch had been informed the Lions were planning to cut him in February, and he followed that up by saying good-bye to Lions fans via Instagram.

The 31-year-old missed 13 games in 2014 with an ACL injury, but has missed no other games in his career outside of that ailment. He registered 108 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble in 2015.

Tulloch has one year left on his contract with a $7.3-million cap hit in 2016.
