C.J. Anderson signed a four-year, $18-million offer sheet from the Miami Dolphins, but it wasn't even the best deal presented to the running back.

Anderson was offered four years and $19 million from the Chicago Bears, but declined in favor of the Dolphins' offer, according to Mike Klis of 9NEWS. The veteran running back would've been reunited with head coach John Fox, who previously served in the same capacity with the Broncos.

It was widely reported that Anderson's familiarity with Dolphins head coach Adam Gase was a major factor.

The Broncos will have to decide by Tuesday on whether to match the Dolphins' offer.

With former Dolphins running back Lamar Miller signing with the Houston Texans, Anderson would be the clear favorite to become the lead back in Miami.
