Report: Steelers signing Ladarius Green to 4-year, $20M contract

Kevin Hoffman / USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing tight end Ladarius Green to a four-year deal worth $20 million, reports Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Green would give the high-powered Steelers offense yet another explosive playmaker to utilize in the passing game, joining receivers Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant, and Markus Wheaton.

Finally stepping out of Antonio Gates' shadow and taking on a lead tight end role could soon have him poised to outplay the figures involved in his new contract.

Green appeared in 13 games for the San Diego Chargers in 2015, recording 37 receptions for 429 yards and four touchdowns.
