One of this year's top receiver prospects reportedly won't take part in the main event at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Ole Miss wideout Laquon Treadwell has decided against running the 40-yard dash this week, a source told Scott Bischoff of Football Guys.

While it's unclear whether the decision results from an injury, Treadwell may simply be electing to wait and record his official time at a later pro day workout.

Speed is one of few concerns scouts are thought to have about Treadwell's potential at the next level. Answering those questions with a solid 40 time would have further solidified his chances of hearing his name called early in the first round.

Treadwell rebounded from a gruesome leg injury to put together a highly productive junior season in 2015, recording 82 receptions for 1,153 yards and 11 touchdowns.
