Pending free agent Nolan Carroll has been won over by the City of Brotherly Love.

Appearing on CSN's "Quick Slants" on Wednesday, the Eagles cornerback said he's enjoyed the two seasons he's spent in Philadelphia and hopes to return for a third.

"I would love to stay in Philly," Carroll said. "Coming here two years ago, I just fell in love with how the city is and how the fans are, how the organization is. Everybody is welcoming. Everybody loves each other. That’s something you don’t see in a lot of organizations and a lot of people."

Carroll played in 11 games last season, recording 42 tackles and two interceptions before landing on injured reserve with a fractured fibula and sprained ankle. He's in the midst of rehab right now and is optimistic he'll be able to get back to his old form.

"Right now, everything is going well," he said. "Every day, I continue to do more and more and I'm starting to get stronger in my leg. … Sooner or later, I’ll be back to how I was."

When asked about contract talks, Carroll declined to go into detail.

"There's been a little bit, a little bit of talk here and there but, you know, they're doing what they need to do," he said. "Right now, I can't really get into that situation. It's between (VP of football operations) Howie (Roseman) and my agent. I'm doing whatever I need to do to be ready."
