Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy, by all accounts, wasn't the easiest teammate to have during the 2015 season.

His fellow Cowboys admitted he was often a distraction as his tardiness and ill-advised comments to the media caused Dallas headaches. Head coach Jason Garrett had to sit down with Hardy on multiple occasions because of his behavior, leading to speculation that the team wouldn't look to re-sign him.

Hardy signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys, meaning he's set to become a free agent this offseason. However, wide receiver Dez Bryant recently came out in support of Hardy, saying he'd love to see him back in Dallas.

Hardy expressed his gratitude to Bryant on Twitter, calling his teammates in Dallas "Titans":

Hardy also thanked quarterback Tony Romo:

The 27-year-old was paid nearly $9 million in 2015, but racked up just six sacks in 12 games after serving a four-game suspension for his role in a 2014 domestic violence incident.

Bryant's public endorsement and Hardy's positive comments to his teammates could mean the tensions Hardy created in the locker room were exaggerated, but it remains unclear whether the organization feels he's worthy of a second chance.
