Adrian Peterson: Dealing with back injury

Peterson didn't practice Wednesday due to a lower back injury, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Analysis:

Peterson was held out of a portion of Sunday's win at Green Bay with a back issue, limiting him to 19 rushes for 67 yards and one touchdown. The outing was enough to ensure the third rushing title of his career, but despite playing the entire 2015 slate, only two of his seven 100-yard performances this season took place over the last seven games. Considering the bruising he's expected to take Sunday against the Seahawks, it wouldn't shock if he resides in the trainer's room rather than the practice field for most of this week.
