Ryan Fitzpatrick takes home AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the New York Jets to an impressive win over the division-rival New England Patriots. The veteran signal-caller finished the game completing 26-of-41 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns, including a game-winning strike to Eric Decker in overtime.

Robert Mathis was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for the fifth time in his career after helping the Indianapolis Colts to close out a much-needed win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The second of Mathis' two sacks on the day ended Miami's bid for a game-winning score.

Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for his strong showing in a Christmas Eve win over the San Diego Chargers. King constantly helped Oakland in the field-position battle despite a disappointing night from the offense, averaging 49.8 yards on his eight punts and dropping six of them inside the 20-yard line.

NFC

Julio Jones was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after a dominant performance in helping the Atlanta Falcons to knock off the previously undefeated Carolina Panthers. Jones hauled in nine receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown on the day, with the majority of those catches coming against shutdown cornerback Josh Norman.

NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors go to Arizona Cardinals linebacker Dwight Freeney for his impressive three sacks in a convincing win over the Green Bay Packers. The 35-year-old pass-rusher now has a team-leading seven sacks on the season.

Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh received his fifth career NFC Special Teams Player of the Week award after converting on each of his five field-goal attempts in a Sunday night win over the New York Giants. Walsh heads into the regular-season finale currently tied for the league lead with 32 field goals made.
