David Johnson: Could get 25 touches

Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said Johnson could get up to 25 touches in Sunday's game against the Rams, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.

Analysis:

With Chris Johnson (leg) done for the season and Andre Ellington (toe) officially ruled out for Sunday, head coach Bruce Arians has repeatedly made it clear that David Johnson will lead the Arizona backfield. A fumble could perhaps change the gameplan, but it otherwise seems that Stepfan Taylor and Kerwynn Williams will just be working in relief of the rookie. Johnson has impressed on his limited touches this season, showing off the unique blend of size, speed and receiving skills that vaulted him to the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He will have to deal with a tough St. Louis defense, but the Rams haven't been quite the same in recent weeks, with injuries taking a major toll.
