Raiders release Ray-Ray Armstrong

Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports

The Oakland Raiders released linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong on Tuesday.

Armstrong recorded 21 tackles, one sack, and a pass deflection in 10 games this season.

The Raiders' linebacker drew scrutiny after allegedly taunting a police dog on Nov. 8 at Heinz Field, prior to his team's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It's likely Lorenzo Alexander and Ben Heeney will see increased snaps as a result of Armstrong's release.
