Packers' McCarthy: Aaron Rodgers is 'banged up'

Jeremy Brevard / USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers' offense hasn't looked like themselves in the past few weeks, and neither has quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

While there's no indication Rodgers is playing through a significant injury, head coach Mike McCarthy said the season is taking it's toll on his perennial Pro Bowl signal-caller.

"He's banged up. We've got a lot of guys who are banged up," McCarthy said Wednesday.

Rodgers hasn't appeared on the injury report, so it's likely he's just dealing with the usual bumps and bruises that accumulate during a grueling season.

With the offense struggling, McCarthy said Monday he thinks Rodgers is "trying to do too much."

The Packers currently have the NFL's 21st-ranked offense, and are in the midst of a three-game losing streak.
