Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears as he continues to deal with ankle and finger injuries.

Sanders was initially thought to be on track to play after twice practicing in a limited capacity at the end of the week, and head coach Gary Kubiak had indicated the wideout would be a "full go" on game day.

His absence is a massive loss for an already struggling offense, giving quarterback Brock Osweiler one less target to work with in his first career start.

Sanders started each of the first nine regular-season games, recording 46 receptions for 639 yards and four touchdowns.

Rounding out the Broncos' inactives are QB Peyton Manning, LB DeMarcus Ware, DE Vance Walker, CB Lorenzo Doss, TE Richard Gordon, and C Sam Brenner.
