Lewis, who played in seven games for the Patriots this season, recording 234 rushing yards on 49 attempts with two TDs, while catching 36 passes for 388 yards and adding two receiving scores in the process. After signing a two-year contract extension with the team through the 2017 season, he should be back in time to try to reclaim his "passing back" role in the New England offense next season. In the meantime, the Patriots will turn to James White and Brandon Bolden to serve as change-of-pace options behind LeGarrette Blount, the team's top "big back."
