Jason Bridge / USA TODAY Sports

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell left Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals after suffering a knee injury. He was quickly announced as out for the game.

Bell's right leg was twisted badly as he was sandwiched between two defenders.

Bell was carted to the locker room, but was briefly able to put weight on his leg before taking a seat on the cart.

The stadium erupted in applause for Bell, the NFL's second-leading rusher a year ago, as he left the field.

DeAngelo Williams will replace Bell in the Steelers' lineup. With Bell suspended for the first two games of the season, Williams rushed for 204 yards.
