Report: Chiefs to work out Ben Tate
Andrew Weber / USA TODAY Sports
With Jamaal Charles potentially lost for the season to a torn ACL, the Kansas City Chiefs are exploring other options at running back.
One of those options is Ben Tate, whom the Chiefs are working out Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Tate enjoyed some productive years with the Houston Texans, but has failed to catch on with a team since. He spent parts of last season with the Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings, and Pittsburgh Steelers, rushing for a combined 390 yards and four touchdowns on 124 carries.
