Odell Beckham Jr. to appeal fine for punching Bills
New York Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr. will appeal the $8,681 fine he was handed for his actions Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, which he'll appeal.
Several Bills defenders allege Beckham, whom they called a "prima donna," threw punches at them during the game, and video supports these assertions:
It's unclear on what grounds Beckham believes the fine will be overturned, but perhaps he's unclear on what constitutes a punch.
"I get punched every single game, hit in my face every single game, but like I said, it is what it is. We're playing football," Beckham told reporters Wednesday.
The NFL differentiates between blows to the face and head that occur during live play as the result of blocks and tackles, and punches thrown after the whistle.
Beckham's actions appear to have crossed over into the latter, but apparently he doesn't believe that's the case.
As for the Bills calling him a "prima donna," Beckham said he's not concerned with that.
"It doesn't bother me. I'm fine every single day. I sleep like a baby at night."
