DFS: Counterattack - Week 4's Best Contrarian Plays

Richard Dole-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Here's a look at this weeks top contrarian plays; beginning with an intriguing play out of the 'Bay:

QB Jameis Winston, Buccaneers (vs. Panthers)

A DFS gold mine lies within this NFC South divisional matchup - and not from the Panthers side.

With a 52.2 percent completion rate and 678 passing yards through three games, DFS owners are off Winston and other Buccaneers weapons ahead of the teams Week 4 match up with the Panthers. But receivers Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson are still lethal if Winston can deliver them the ball, and the Bucs' offense will be in catch-up/pass mode against Carolina.

RB Karlos Williams, Bills (vs. Giants)

Bills feature back LeSean McCoy is unlikely to play at home against the Giants, giving Williams an opportunity to log a heavy workload.

He has fared well in his first exposure to the NFL, primarily utilized in red zone situations. Williams is a great buy-low option against a struggling Giants run defense; the 2015 fifth-round draft pick has racked up an impressive 7.8 yards per carry and three touchdowns in 2015.

WR Allen Robinson, Jaguars (at Colts)

Robinson faces a tough matchup against Colts CB Vontae Davis, but has proven his worth against top defensive backs early in the season.

He pulverized Dolphins CB Brent Grimes and its tattered secondary in Week 2 for 155 yards and two scores, and had a respectable 4/68 stat line against a superb Patriots defense.

As the Jaguars' top receiving option, his upside is solid in PPR and he remains a relative bargain at his price point.

TE Jason Witten, Cowboys (at Saints)

After Sunday's loss to the Falcons, the Cowboys look to regroup on the road against a dire New Orleans Saints defense.

All-Pro WR Dez Bryant remains on the sidelines, making Witten the main receiving option yet again. The Saints surrender the second-most fantasy points versus TEs, which bodes well for Witten - particularly as Brandon Weeden's primary safety valve.
