It appears the Eagles' lead back may have dodged a bullet.

Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray left practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury, but after undergoing tests, the injury is likely to be just a tweak, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Murray, the NFL's leading rusher a season ago, has produced a paltry 11 yards rushing on 21 attempts (0.5 yards per carry average) through two games this season.

Injuries have dogged him throughout his career, but he managed to remain healthy for 16 games last season despite handling a league-high 392 carries and 57 receptions.

If Murray misses time, Ryan Mathews will step into the Eagles' starting role.
