Report: Cowboys working out Hakeem Nicks, 3 others after Dez Bryant injury
The Dallas Cowboys appear to be turning their attention to the open market in an effort to replace injured wide receiver Dez Bryant, reportedly working out a number of free agents ahead of next week's game.
Dallas is hosting Hakeem Nicks, Nick Toon, Austin Pettis, and Clyde Gates for workouts at the team facility Tuesday, according to Todd Archer of ESPN.
Nicks, the most notable name among the four receivers, spent the first five years of his career with the New York Giants before joining the Indianapolis Colts in 2014.
Injury issues have seen the 27-year-old's production drop off in recent seasons, but he would bring plenty of experience to a now-thin Cowboys receiving corps.
Nicks hauled in 38 receptions for 405 yards and four touchdowns with Indianapolis last season.
