Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans will likely miss the rest of the preseason after suffering a hamstring injury in Monday's win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bucs head coach Lovie Smith announced the news Tuesday, saying the team is taking every precaution and won't rush Evans back.

Evans is coming off a stellar rookie season in which he caught 68 passes for 1,051 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Texas A&M product has lofty goals coming into 2015, suggesting recently that his pairing with Jameis Winston would increase his productivity.

Evans, Vincent Jackson, and Austin Seferian-Jenkins give Winston a trio of big-bodied pass-catchers to help him through his rookie season. The health of all three could be paramount to his early success.
