Randy Moss hints at possible return to football

Randy Moss likely put a number of general managers on notice Sunday.

The legendary wide receiver hinted at a comeback attempt during FOX Sports' broadcast of Sunday's preseason game between the Tennessee Titans and St. Louis Rams.

"I actually have not lost the itch," Moss said to FOX's Curt Menefee. "I've been working out with a few guys over the offseason. I have been retired for the last two years, but you never know, Curt. But it's the love of the game that I still have inside of me."

Moss later indicated that we'll "have to wait and see" about any possible return, but his comments stirred some fans into a frenzy.

One of the greatest wide receivers of all time, Moss was named to seven Pro Bowls over the course of his 14-year career.

The 38-year-old last suited up for the San Francisco 49ers in 2012, going to the Super Bowl XLVII where they were defeated by the Baltimore Ravens.

Moss holds a number of NFL receiving records, and even at his advanced age, would likely warrant some interest from teams in need of a downfield threat.
