Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson left Sunday's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with an apparent knee injury suffered in the first quarter.

Nelson went to the ground untouched after making his first catch of the game, but was able to make his way to the sidelines under his own power before heading to the locker room.

Regardless of the severity, it would be no surprise to see the injury sideline Nelson for the remainder of Sunday's game.

The eighth-year veteran is the top target in Green Bay's high-powered passing attack and his availability for Week 1 will be far more important to the team than getting him any further preseason reps.

Nelson is coming off a career-best season in which he recorded 98 receptions for 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns.
