Giants' Beckham Jr. offered contract from independent league baseball team

Odell Beckham Jr. may have established himself as the NFL's most electrifying player after only one season, but his athletic abilities are in no way limited to the football field.

We're out here for the St. Jude's celebrity softball game and @iam_objxiii is throwing straight flames? out here tonight! The sickest athlete I have ever seen! He crushed a homer ⚾️ earlier too. Just when I thought I was something special.... I'm glad he's on my squad! #NYG #Giants

After his pitching ability turned heads at a recent celebrity softball game, the New York Giants wideout received a contract offer from the Rockland Boulders of the independent Can-Am League.

"It's apparent that Odell is a very gifted athlete regardless of his sport," Boulders general manager Shawn Reilly said in a news release, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN. "We think that getting experience pitching to professional hitters will give him the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Deon (sic) Sanders and Bo Jackson."

The odds of Beckham accepting such an offer are slim to none, but the mere interest generated is a testament to the talent level that has so quickly made him one of the most recognizable athletes in professional sports.
