Richard Sherman reflects on final play of Super Bowl XLIX

In the blink of an eye, Richard Sherman's dream of repeating as a back-to-back Super Bowl champion was shattered into pieces.

The Seattle Seahawks were a yard away from taking a 30-28 lead, but Russell Wilson's intercepted pass in the final minute of Super Bowl XLIX clinched a 28-24 victory for the New England Patriots.

Sherman's horrified reaction to the result of the play went viral.

The first-team All-Pro cornerback reflected on the final play of what turned out to be an all-time classic game.

"It was unfortunate, but it happens. You win some, you lose some," Sherman told NFL Network's Michael Robinson. Robinson and Sherman were teammates during the Seahawks' 43-8 Super Bowl victory over the Denver Broncos during the 2013 season.

Boasting the league's most talented roster, the Seahawks have an opportunity to reach the Super Bowl for a third consecutive year. Sherman and the Legion of Boom appear to be focused on the task at hand, mirroring Pete Carroll's 'one game at a time' mantra.

"I haven't thought about it much," Sherman said of the crushing defeat. "It's like when you win the Super Bowl: you have to rinse it off and get prepared for the next."

As a stalwart in one of the best secondaries ever, Sherman knows that all eyes are on him and the Seahawks in their quest to reign over the NFC for the third straight year.
