Yeldon signed his four-year rookie deal with the Jaguars on Wednesday, the Florida Times-Union reports.

Analysis:

The second-rounder out of Alabama joins a crowded backfield that already features Toby Gerhart, Bernard Pierce and Denard Robinson, but the rookie is expected to step in as the No. 1 tailback. Jaguars coach Gus Bradley has emphasized a renewed commitment to the ground game this offseason, so Yeldon figures to see enough snaps, at least early in the season, to warrant fantasy consideration. Despite failing to find a true No. 1 back last season, the Jaguars were a fairly productive rushing team, ranking sixth in the NFL in yards per attempt. However, they finished 21st in rushing yards per game, due in large part to the offense's inability to extend drives. The addition of Yeldon will help, as will the team's offseason offensive line upgrades, including drafting guard A.J. Cann out of South Carolina in the third round.
