Chiefs sign 1st-round pick Marcus Peters to 4-year contract

The Kansas City Chiefs signed three of their draft picks Friday, including first-round pick Marcus Peters.

Like all first-round picks, the 18th overall selection will receive a four-year deal with a team option for a fifth year.

Peters joins an already strong pass defense in Kansas City. The Chiefs finished second against the pass in 2014, giving up just 3,252 yards in the air.

Questions were raised about Peters after he was dismissed from Washington for clashing with coaches, but his talent level has never been debated. He's an impact defender that should earn a starting role come Week 1.
