Report: Rams' Jeff Fisher in contact with Joe Barksdale

St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said he's still speaking to free-agent offensive tackle Joe Barksdale, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Barksdale remains an unrestricted free agent, and played the past three seasons for the Rams, primarily at right tackle. The two parties are ostensibly trying to reach a deal that would see Barksdale back with the Rams.

The 26-year-old began his career with the Oakland Raiders when he was drafted in 2011. He was released by the Raiders in September 2012, but was then picked up by the Rams the following day.

Barksdale previously visited with the Tennessee Titans, and the Rams expressed interest in re-signing him in March. However, the right tackle is still on the market, but some teams may be wary of signing him after allowing seven sacks in 2014.
