Ravens, Eagles to hold joint practices

The Baltimore Ravens will be holding joint practices with the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of the teams' Aug. 22 preseason game, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Saturday.

The NovaCare Complex in Philadelphia will host the practices.

"We're going to go up there three days before we play them the second preseason game," Harbaugh said after the final day of rookie minicamp, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun. "Coach (Chip) Kelly and I are working on the practice schedules right now. We're excited about that."

This will be the second time in team history that the Ravens have held joint practices. Last year, they worked out with the San Francisco 49ers.

Harbaugh said he's heard good things about Kelly and is looking forward to spending time with him.

"Jim (Harbaugh)'s always spoken really highly of him and I have great respect for him," Harbaugh said. "We were just talking at the owners' meetings and we were kind of wondering why we don't play each other more in the preseason, and see if we can work something out. It looks like we're going to be able to do that."
