Despite acquiring Sam Bradford and signing Tim Tebow, rumors continue to swirl about the possibility of the Philadelphia Eagles trading up to draft former Oregon quarterback and Chip Kelly recruit Marcus Mariota.

Like Kelly, Eagles vice president of player personnel Ed Marynowitz isn't keen on mortgaging the future to move up high in the draft. However, when asked Thursday about trading up for Mariota, Marynowitz wouldn't rule it out.

"Never say never," he said, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com.

Marynowitz also admitted that the Eagles have discussed internally what it would mean to mortgage the future.

Philadelphia would pay a hefty price to trade up for Mariota, who could go as high as No. 1 overall. But as the draft gets closer, some NFL insiders are starting to view it as a real possibility.

"Count me in the camp that does consider (trading for Mariota) and option and a possibility," ESPN's Adam Schefter said Monday during an appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic. "And I was not in that camp a month ago but I've come over to that side."

Oregonian columnist John Conzano, who covered Kelly in college, offered his insight on the coach, while hinting at a possible Eagles play for Mariota.

"Covered Chip Kelly long enough to know he gets what he wants. And we all know what he wants in the draft. There's a visor at the poker table," Conzano said.
