Report: Seahawks sign DeShawn Shead to exclusive-rights free-agent tender

The Seattle Seahawks signed safety DeShawn Shead to an exclusive-rights, free-agent tender Thursday, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. 

Shead won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks two seasons ago and is expected to back up Kam Chancellor entering the 2015 season. 

The 26-year-old signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2012. Shead recorded 14 tackles in 16 games last season.
