Adrian Peterson unsure about participating in Vikings' offseason workouts if reinstated

Bruce Kluckhohn / USA TODAY Sports

The stalemate between the Minnesota Vikings and Adrian Peterson appears no closer to being resolved.

Peterson was in Minnesota last weekend, but did not meet with the team, according to Ben Goessling of ESPN.

The running back could be reinstated as early as Wednesday and he is unsure if he will participate in any offseason workouts for the Vikings.

"We'll see," he said. "I haven't even been reinstated yet."

The fact that Peterson didn't rule out the notion could be looked at as a positive sign for Minnesota. The Vikings remain adamant that they want him back, but the former MVP is concerned about the team's support for placing him on the exempt list in 2014.

If the Vikings do change course and attempt to trade Peterson, the next few weeks leading up to the draft could be very interesting.
